1. Interpretation

1.1. “The Company”, “We”, “Us”, “Our” refers to QuickRepair Ltd.
1.2. “The Customer”, “You”, ““Your” refers to the individual or entity who owns the vehicle or engine or has authority to instruct us.
1.3. “Vehicle” includes any car, van  and its components presented to us for work.
1.4. “Engine” refers to the internal combustion engine assembly and all integrated components.

2. Customer’s Obligations & Vehicle Condition

2.1. Pre-Work Information: The Customer warrants that all information provided regarding the Vehicle’s condition, history, and any known faults is accurate and complete. QuickRepair Ltd relies on this information in preparing estimates.
2.2. Vehicle Condition: Vehicles must be presented in a clean and safe condition, free from biohazards (e.g., mould, vermin, bodily fluids), excessive dirt, or foreign objects that may pose a health and safety risk to our staff or impede work. A mandatory deep cleaning and decontamination fee of £120.00 + VAT will be applied for non-compliant vehicles.
2.3. Pre-existing Faults: The Customer acknowledges that the vehicle may have pre-existing faults unrelated to the engine work. QuickRepair Ltd is not responsible for diagnosing or rectifying these unrelated faults unless specifically agreed in writing. If the customer would like any pre-existing faults diagnosed and rectified an additional cost of £120.00+VAT per hour will be applied.
2.4. Modifications: The Vehicle must be free of modifications (e.g., re-maps, tuning boxes, hardware changes) that are not declared in writing. The discovery of any undeclared modifications will void any warranty.
Additionally, any black boxes or trackers on the vehicle must be switched off whilst the vehicle is in our possession due to road test requirements.

2.5. Modification Removal: If declared or discovered, any modifications must be removed at the Customer’s expense prior to or during the rebuild to ensure warranty validity. The Company can perform these services at a rate which will require pre-authorisation depending on the service required.

3. Personal Belongings & Data

3.1. It is the Customer’s sole responsibility to remove all personal belongings, documents, and valuables from the Vehicle before the vehicle reaches the site. Quick Repair Ltd shall not be liable for any loss or damage to such items.
3.2. The Customer is responsible for securing any data (e.g., phone contacts, journey history, navigation data) stored in the Vehicle’s systems. QuickRepair Ltd is not liable for any loss or reset of this data due to battery disconnection or electronic diagnostics.

3.3. Audio Units: Please ensure that any codes required after any reset are stored, this may be a result of the battery being disconnected during engine labour.

3.4. Car Alarm System: Please provide us with both the manual switch-off key for the car alarm and any remote-control device.

3.5. Air conditioning: In certain vehicles, removal of the engine leads to a loss of pressure in the air conditioning unit requiring a re-gas, which is a service available at an extra cost.

3.6) Engine Management Faults: Some vehicles require fault code management of the engine memory requiring a reset with the use of diagnostic and assertion equipment, which is a service available at an extra cost.

3.7) Engine Numbers: It is a requirement by law that the original engine number is visually legible which can be found on the cylinder block of the engine. We reserve the right to refuse to continue with any work agreed to be conducted in the event of the engine number showing evidence of poor visibility, alterations or deletion. Any such findings will be reported to the police to avoid any assistance in relation to stolen vehicles. Any vehicle or engine block which requires further investigation by the police will be retained at our discretion. If such circumstances arise and we are unable to recondition or replace the existing engine as a result, the customer will still be liable for the fees related to any work carried out up until the point of detection.

4. Estimates

4.1. All estimates are valid for 30 days and are provided in good faith based on the information supplied by the Customer. They are preliminary and subject to change upon inspection.
4.2. Estimates for engine reconditioning or replacement cover the labour and parts for the core engine assembly only, unless explicitly stated.
4.3. QuickRepair Ltd reserves the right to adjust the estimate and final invoice to reflect any additional work or parts required that were not visible or apparent during the initial assessment. Any initial time scales are only estimated as time scales can differ dependent on the condition of the existing engine components cannot be determined until inspected, hence only estimates can be given.

5. Deposits & Payments

5.1. A  payment is required upon booking to secure a collection slot and commence work. This cost covers initial administration, vehicle collection/transport.

5.2. A non-refundable deposit is required upon booking to secure a collection slot and commence work. This deposit covers initial administration, vehicle collection/transport, engine removal, dismantling, and assessment.
5.3. Failure to pay the initial requested deposit within three 3 days will result in the vehicle being moved to storage, and daily storage charges will apply immediately.
5.4. Following the assessment report, the Customer has three 3 days to provide written instruction and payment to proceed. After this period, daily storage charges of £50.00 + VAT will be incurred.
5.5. A 50% deposit on the approved estimate is required before any rebuild or repair work commences.
5.6. All recovery and transport payments are non-refundable once the booking is confirmed.

5.7. From the time of arrival of the recovery driver any waiting time required will be charged at a rate of £50+ VAT per hour. This works on a pro-rata basis.

6. Engine Work & Warranties

6.1. Following engine removal and cleansing, we will assess the usability of components for the remanufacturing process. If any components cannot be reconditioned, the customer will be informed, and additional fees will apply.

6.1.2 In some cases, reconditioned components from other vehicles of the same make and model may be used, provided they are tested and fully functional.

6.2. Engine Replacement: An exchange unit supplied from our stock will be a reconditioned engine that has passed all required functionality tests.

6.3. Warranty Period:
Second-Hand Engines: 3 months or 3,000 miles, whichever occurs first.
Reconditioned Engines: 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever occurs first.

* Engine Rebuild: 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever occurs first.
* Warranty coverage is expressly conditional on compliance with Clauses 2 and 15 (Servicing).

6.4. Ancillary Components: All ancillary components (e.g., turbochargers, fuel pumps, injectors, alternators, starters) are excluded from the engine warranty unless supplied and fitted by us. QuickRepair Ltd does not fit customer-supplied parts under any circumstances.

6.4.1. Any second-hand components used in the rebuild process will not come with a warranty unless stated otherwise.

6.5. Supplier Invoices: Supplier invoices for parts are proprietary to the Company and will not be provided to the Customer.

6.6. Any quotations are priced to solely rebuild the engine and does not include a/c gas, any oils/filters, antifreeze, sundries and cleansing the breather system which are required extras in order have a warranty on the engine.

6.7. If recommended or essential replacements are required, the customer will be notified in advance with a breakdown of costs. Proceeding with such work requires customer approval.

6.8. Upon agreement of the costs, a 50% deposit is required before work begins. If the customer decides not to proceed, the customer must pay for engine removal, dismantling, cleaning, and the assessment report before the vehicle is released.

7. Termination of Agreement

7.1. If the Customer instructs us to cease work, they are liable for all costs incurred up to the point of termination, including but not limited to: labour (charged at the current Autodata rate of £100.00 + VAT per hour), parts, dismantling, cleaning, and assessment.
7.2. Any complimentary recovery offered will be voided and charged at £2.00 + VAT per mile (minimum charge £100.00 + VAT) if work is terminated.
7.3. All dismantled components will be placed in the vehicle. The Customer must check for all parts before removal of the vehicle and components from our premises. We accept no liability for parts once the Vehicle has left our custody.

8. Storage

8.1. QuickRepair Ltd will store the Vehicle for a maximum of three 3 calendar days after notifying the Customer of completion or requesting instructions, free of charge.
8.2. Thereafter, storage charges will apply:
Standard On-Site Storage: £50.00 + VAT per day.
Secure Impound Storage: £75.00 + VAT per day (if required due to non-payment or abandonment).
8.3. After 30 days of non-communication or non-payment, the Vehicle will be deemed abandoned. QuickRepair Ltd reserves the right to dispose of the Vehicle under the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977 to recover all outstanding costs. Any surplus from the sale will be returned to the Customer; any deficit will remain a debt payable by the Customer.

9. Insurance & Liability

9.1. The Customer must maintain a valid insurance policy (Comprehensive, Third-Party Fire & Theft, or Third Party Only) for the Vehicle for the entire duration it is in our care.
9.2. QuickRepair Ltd‘s insurance covers damage to the Vehicle only if such damage is directly and demonstrably caused by our negligence. The Company is not liable for:
* Theft, vandalism, or acts of God (e.g., fire, flood, hail damage).
* Pre-existing conditions or unrelated mechanical failures.
* Consequential loss (e.g., loss of earnings, hire car costs, inconvenience).
9.3. In the event of any incident, the Customer must claim through their own insurance policy in the first instance.

10. Servicing & Warranty Maintenance

10.1. The 12-month/12,000-mile warranty is strictly conditional on the Customer using the services of QuickRepair Ltd for all required services.
10.2. Running-In Procedure: The Vehicle must not be driven above 50 MPH and must not be used for towing, track days, or high-performance driving for the first 500-600 miles.
10.3. Service Schedule:
First Service: 500-600 miles or 2 months.
Second Service: 5,900-6,000 miles or 6 months.
Subsequent Services: Every 5,900-6,000 miles or 6 months thereafter.

10.4.Pricing for both required services will be available upon request.
10.5. Failure to adhere to this service schedule and running-in procedure will void the warranty entirely.

11. Warranty Claims

11.1. The original invoice from QuickRepair Ltd must be presented for any warranty claim along with a photo of the vehicles current mileage, which will be manually upon the vehicles arrival.
11.2. The warranty is immediately void if any internal engine work is carried out by a third party, if the engine is misused (as determined by our engineers), or if non-recommended parts are used.
11.3. The warranty covers the repair or replacement of the faulty engine component only. It explicitly excludes:
* Recovery, delivery, or transportation costs.
* Labour costs for diagnosis or repair at a third-party garage.
* Costs of ancillary components not supplied by us.
* Any courtesy vehicle or associated costs.

12. Payment, Collection, and Disposal

12.1. Payment in full is required by cash, bank transfer, or debit/credit card before the Vehicle is released.
12.2. The Customer authorises QuickRepair Ltd to carry out necessary road tests rangining from 50-100 miles with an insured employee. Fuel used during testing and diagnostics will be charged at cost.
12.3. If the Vehicle is not collected within 3 days of final payment being made, storage charges will begin to accrue.

13. Force Majeure

13.1. QuickRepair Ltd shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, war, riot, civil commotion, terrorism, fire, flood, storm, pandemics, government action, or delays by parts suppliers.

14. Data Protection

14.1. We will process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on request. This data will be used for the purposes of fulfilling this contract, billing, and warranty administration.

15. Governing Law

15.1. This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of United Kingdom .

16. Acceptance

16.1. By instructing Quick Reair Ltd to collect, assess, or work on your Vehicle or engine, you are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions in full. These Terms & Conditions supersede all prior discussions and agreements.
